Day 1 - Hollis leads Australian 4-Day Enduro
Port Macquarie dirt bike racer Chris Hollis could be on his way to making history by winning the prestigious Hog’s Breath Cafe Australian 4-Day Enduro (A4DE) two years in a row after a strong Day 1 finish today.
The Husqvarna Racing Team rider claimed 1st Outright by 11.3 seconds in Day 1 (today) of the four-day event at Orange, NSW.
“I had a pretty good day, it started off pretty well,” Hollis said. “I had a couple little crashes, a few falls in two separate tests, but everything else went pretty good and tomorrow’s a new day and I’ll try not to make any more mistakes.
“I was pretty happy with how I rode today, no one likes to fall off of course, but that’s just part of racing. I’ll just try to eliminate those sort of errors for tomorrow.”

Day 2 - Ballard’s Wellard Yamaha racer Jarrod Bewley has moved into the lead with two days to go in the prestigious Hog’s Breath Cafe Australian 4-Day Enduro (A4DE) at Orange, NSW. Bewley, 21, from Sydney, blitzed the 315-strong field in the last two special tests of today, gaining 17-seconds on Husqvarna’s Chris Hollis (who was leading by 11.3 seconds after yesterday
Day 3- Sparks are set to fly at tomorrow’s final motocross for this year’s Hog’s Breath Cafe Australian 4-Day Enduro (A4DE) with a bumper lineup of off-road stars ready to bang bars at the Borenore site near Orange, NSW. It’s been a close contest this year with Ballard’s Wellard Yamaha’s Jarrod Bewley taking the lead from Husqvarna’s Chris Hollis and only about 60-seconds separating the top-four Outright going into Day 4.
Day 4 - Jarrod Bewley wins 2009 Australian 4-Day Enduro
Ballard’s Wellard Yamaha racer Jarrod Bewley has taken the Outright win of this year’s Hog’s Breath Cafe Australian 4-Day Enduro (A4DE) in what has been one of the closest battles in the 31-year history of the event.
Third Outright and in the premier Class 4 was up for grabs today between last year’s A4DE winner, Chris Hollis (Husqvarna) and top-contender Anthony ‘AJ’ Roberts, with Roberts finishing Day 3 a mere .146-seconds ahead of Hollis.
Despite a crash, Hollis managed to fend Roberts off to take the 3rd podium spot
